Qualified Staffing is seeking an experienced Mold Setter for a well-established manufacturing company in the Port Huron area. The role requires a mechanically inclined individual with mold setting experience, comfortable working a weekend shift.

Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience, with a weekend schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; typically 36–40 hours paid as 40 hours. Opportunity for long-term placement with potential hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes and ensure proper setup of molds.
• Complete mold-related functions, including proper watering according to work instructions.
• Assist with press start-ups as required.
• Start jobs following mold changes.
• Perform barrel scrubs during material changes.
• Maintain an organized mold storage area and mold-setting supplies.
• Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Assist Molding Operators when needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Location: Port Huron, MI area

Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | Work 36–40 Hours & Get Paid for 40 Hours

• Assist with press start-ups as required.
• Start jobs following mold changes.
• Perform barrel scrubs during material changes.

Qualifications

• Previous mold setting or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and quality practices is a plus.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to inspect, measure, set up, operate, and position products and equipment.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
