Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a full-time Die Setter for our St. Marys, PA location on a 3x3 night shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities include setting up hydraulic and mechanical equipment, adjusting furnace temperature and belt speed as needed, recording data, and supporting continuous process improvement while maintaining attendance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.

• Operate equipment with appropriate adjustments to ensure product quality, including furnace temperature and belt speed adjustments.
• Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure continuation of control conditions.
• Provide input to continuous process improvement.
• Communicate job-related information to coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
• May be assigned leadoff duties and assist the supervisory team as needed.
• Maintain reliable, consistent attendance.

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Die Setter who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Production Supervisor. This opening is on our 3x3 schedule on night shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• To efficiently and safely make highly complex setups, initial sample complex setups on hydraulic and mechanical equipment in molding and sizing operations with minimal assistance
• To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to ensure product quality. This includes the ability to adjust furnace temperature and/or belt speed
• Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information
• Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to insure continuation of control conditions
• Provide active input to continuous process improvement
• Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors and others with a need to know.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas
• May be assigned the leadoff duties, directing the dept. in absence of the supervisory force and assist at other times
• Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position
