Kelly is seeking a Die Setter – Placement Order in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves leading die and equipment setup, executing safe die changeovers, and performing stamping operations with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

You will work a Monday–Thursday 3pm–1am shift and earn a competitive $23/hour. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and have 3–5 years of die/stamping experience, with hands-on ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and maintain clean, safe

Responsibilities

  • Lead setup of dies and related equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform full die changeovers safely and efficiently from last-piece to first-piece.
  • Conduct die sets, press operations, and troubleshoot stamping processes.
  • Change over multiple part-number dies as required.
  • Operate stamping presses after proper training and maintain 5S standards.
  • Adhere to work instructions and KanBan pull systems; support Quality objectives.

What’s a typical day as Die Setter – Placement Order? You’ll be:
  • Leading the setup of dies and related equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Completing full die changeovers safely and efficiently, from last-piece to first-piece
  • Performing die sets, press operations, and troubleshooting stamping processes
  • Changing over multiple part number dies as required
  • Operating stamping presses after receiving proper training
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area following 5S standards
  • Adhering to work instructions and KanBan pull systems
  • Implementing job-related Quality Objectives and Quality System Policies
  • Ensuring safety for yourself, teammates, and products
  • Pre-staging dies and communicating die repair needs
  • Conducting accurate daily verification of measurement devices
