Job summary

The Advance Group is seeking a Die Set-Up Technician for 1st shift in Dundee, MI. You will prepare stamping presses and tooling for production, troubleshoot equipment, and support process improvements.

Required are 2–3+ years of die-setting experience, blueprint literacy, and the ability to work with tooling and servo feeder systems. Temp-to-hire position with pay of $19.00–$21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of die-setting, die setup, or progressive stamping experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience setting up stamping presses and production tooling
• Forklift certification required or obtainable

Responsibilities

• Perform complete die set-ups on a variety of stamping presses
• Establish proper press shut height
• Install, adjust, and align dies for production
• Set up and release completed press set-ups to production
• Troubleshoot stamping press and production issues
• Set up and adjust servo, pneumatic, Rapid-Air, and PA feeder systems
• Adjust feeder settings including feed length, speed, progression
• Set up and troubleshoot die protection systems
• Set and monitor press tonnage using protection systems
• Assist with basic servo motion programming when needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and manufacturing specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify tooling and production requirements
• Support press lubrication and perform light maintenance
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
