Job summary

Topy-America in Frankfort, KY is seeking a die maintenance technician to set up and adjust dies and presses, prepare tooling for production runs, and inspect dies for maintenance compliance.

The role requires hands-on machining with lathes and milling machines, reading drawings, and safe operation of forklifts. You will maintain records and assist with inventory in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with setup and maintenance of dies to support metal stamping and forming operations.
• Machine shop and welding experience are required.
• Ability to read and understand structure and function drawings of dies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust dies and presses accurately and securely.
• Prepare dies and jig tools needed for the next production run in accordance with the production schedule and coordinate die changes.
• Inspect and maintain dies and jig tools by preparing inspection standards and check sheets.
• Manufacture and repair parts for dies and jig tools using lathes, milling machines, and other tools.
• Maintain records of die maintenance details according to Inspection Standards.
• Analyze and appraise maintenance work by confirming product accuracy and operating conditions.
• Maintain inventory for consumables.
• Operate forklifts, hoists and slinging equipment during die changes and maintenance.
