About this Position:

This position supports the maintenance of Low Pressure Die Cast Cylinder Head Dies and Sand Mold Core Making Dies. This includes the support of other Die Service Technicians, Staff and Team Leaders, and working with Production and Engineering teams to improve die maintenance and part quality characteristics.

Responsibilities include:

Support equipment / die downtime in a dynamic fast-paced environmentDevelop and support equipment / die improvement projectsSupport weekend and shutdown equipment / die activitySupport training of other equipment / die associatesSupport of the engineering group in short / long term projects

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

Preferred 2 years in the mechanical and/or die mold maintenance field – Co Op acceptableTIG welding experience required

Required Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Workstyle: OnsiteWork in production environment requiring PPE and lockout in manufacturing operationsWorking near molten aluminum, hydraulic oils, cutting lubricantsHands-on investigation and troubleshooting of product & die to countermeasure issues and to determine improvement activityWorking with hand/power tools, quality gauging and instrumentation90% manufacturing lineside activity / 10% office environment10-15 hours overtime per weekPossible weekend or off shift support as necessaryTravel 5% (domestic)
