Job Description

Position Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining forge dies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule die maintenance personnel and ensure proper training and equipment availability.
  • Review weekly forge schedule to ensure tools are ready for production.
  • Coordinate disposition of rejected dies with relevant departments.
  • Maintain electronic reports on tooling inspection, backlog, inventory, and scrap dies.
  • Visually inspect trimmers and maintain their status electronically.
  • Update and review tool status reports for upcoming production.
  • Work closely with forge supervision for daily tool delivery and proper markings.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of die polishing consumables and proper equipment maintenance.
  • Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Suggest changes to increase efficiency, maintain performance records, and train new employees.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, enforce safety regulations, and promote 6S and Lean initiatives.
  • Assist in the Forge Department as an operator if needed.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work, and perform other duties as assigned.
