Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Die Maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on die equipment, set up new dies, and keep production running smoothly. You will also maintain records and assist with cross-department tasks in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires handling heavy loads, attention to wear, and timely repairs with a focus on reducing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient operation of plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with dies and other metalworking equipment.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspects dies for wear and damage after each use; makes repairs as necessary to maintain proper function.
• Cleans and lubricates moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
• Replaces worn or damaged components as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and communicates any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Assists other departments with tasks related to equipment maintenance as needed.
