Job summary

Viking Forge LLC, located in Streetsboro, OH, seeks an experienced Die Design Engineer to lead hot forging tooling development and design efforts. You will perform FEA-based die stress analysis and material flow simulations, and apply SolidWorks simulations to optimize products and processes.

Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams, and developing new products from concepts to mass production.

Qualifications

• Foraging and tooling design experience, 3-5 years preferred.
• Solidworks with 3-D modeling experience.
• Knowledge in material selection/heat treatment.
• Basic understanding of ANSI Y14.5M-1999 drafting standard.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Experience with cost estimation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hot forged product and tooling design.
• FEA material flow simulation/die stress analysis.
• Solidworks simulation.
• Tooling improvement and troubleshooting.
• Manufacturing process design and development.
• Analyze and apply expertise to existing products.
• Manage multiple existing and newly designed projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality departments.
• Develop new products from customer concepts to mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement of the product and forging process.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
