Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a Die Cut Assistant in Ohio to train toward operating die cut machines. The role includes loading material, guiding substrate for warp/registration, and assisting with setup and safety.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and some machine operating experience. Overtime is required and the job emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading comprehension of safety rules and operating instructions.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Push stock and off-load corrugated material from the machine.
• Feed corrugated blanks into the machine for the assigned job.
• Make adjustments for warp and registration of substrate.
• Set up feed and stripper sections of the die-cut machine.
• Mount and retrieve die plates and maintain machine cleanliness.
• Assist operator during training and during absences.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and work area.
