Job summary

Welch Packaging Group is seeking a Production Associate to help create finished products by operating machinery, performing manual tasks, and upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires adherence to production schedules and close attention to packaging quality.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in manufacturing, a high school diploma, and a mindset for safe practices. Forklift experience is a plus and flexibility to support operational needs may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to work safely adhering to safety processes and policies.
• Previous experience in a corrugated manufacturing/production environment.
• Previous experience with cycle counting preferred.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to support operational and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule.
• Set up and adjust machine settings to meet product specifications.
• Troubleshoot problems throughout production run.
• Check and assure box quality, including lose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
• Adhere to production schedule and report scheduling issues to Production Lead.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently, maximizing equipment utilization.
• Train and assist teammates with job duties on the machine.
• Comply with company policies and maintain good housekeeping.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
