Position Overview
The die cutter is responsible for safely and efficiently producing lid stock per client specifications and requirements.
Duties
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing proper PPE.
- Maintain quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, carefully preventing errors.
- Meet attendance requirements and work overtime when requested.
- Operate the die‑cut machine.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines and tools.
- Inspect received material to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Stage own materials for packing finished die‑cut material.
- Keep die‑cut parts in registration and complete quality forms.
- Comply with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices.
- Maintain a neat, orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.
- Comply with company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of die‑cut machines.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Knowledge Sources
- 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school education or equivalent.
Contacts
Daily contact with maintenance workers, shift supervisors, production employees, and production planners. External contacts are limited.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods, tolerate moderate noise, lift up to 55 lbs, and adhere to PPE and GMP requirements. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
