Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) Southwest Division in Spokane, WA is seeking an experienced Die-Casting Engineer to advance die-casting processes and support manufacturing development.

The role involves hands-on design, installation and optimization of equipment and processes to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. The candidate will document standards, analyze data, and work with cross-functional teams while training staff and preparing technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on installation, operation and maintenance of die-casting equipment and processes.
• Document and implement die-casting standards for safety, quality and efficiency.
• Research, develop and support improved die-casting processes, tooling and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
• Train technical staff to operate and maintain machines.
