Job summary

Gibbs Die Casting Corp. is seeking a Heavy Machinery Mechanic/Technician for the 3rd shift to service high-pressure die casting presses from 850T to 2,000T. You will diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues, weld and fabricate components, and operate lifting equipment to handle large press parts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 6+ months in industrial maintenance, and the ability to read diagrams. Certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical schooling preferred.
• 6+ months in industrial maintenance or heavy machinery repair, die casting a plus.
• Able to read mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagrams.
• Industrial Maintenance Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Repair, rebuild, and maintain 850T–2000T die casting presses and related equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues from schematics.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and precision fitting of components.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and lifting equipment for large press parts.
• Conduct inspections to prevent breakdowns and keep production on schedule.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
