General Summary
Accountable for the proper setup of Techmire machines in assigned work area and for coordinating with machine operators to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect tool prior to set up
  • Select program for the job (NT)
  • Set nozzle and pot temperature and verify they are correct
  • Connect water and/or oil lines and check for water flow and temperature
  • Clean limit or proximity switches
  • Check that correct alloy for the job is in the holding pot
  • Clean Techmire pot
  • Replace any leaky mold water hoses
  • Retrieve Process Work Instruction Book, verify content and load program
  • Replace nozzles
  • Change or refill die lube tank
  • Install proximity switches, spray lines, air lines, and apply temperature set points
  • Perform scheduled PM functions
  • Work closely with machine operators and Quality Department to solve process and machine related problems
  • Check quality of parts according to Tool Set-up Verification Sheet
  • Inform Supervisor for any QC inspectors of non-conformities and stop the job
  • Check that all machine guards are in place
  • Follow the complete operational procedure of the assigned machine

Salary Range: $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
