Job summary

MKC is seeking Production Operators for ALL SHIFTS to run die cast machines and auxiliary equipment, ensuring targets and quality are met. You will perform startup procedures, follow instructions, and maintain a safe, compliant work area with proper PPE usage.

Ideal candidates will read and follow standardized work, verify process parameters, and document counts accurately while upholding quality standards in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills; such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; metric to English conversions.
• Demonstrated ability to understand machine controls and parameters.

Responsibilities

• Operate die cast machines and related equipment to meet production targets and quality requirements.
• Perform start-up procedures, ensuring proper warm-up, lubrication and parameter verification.
• Read, understand, and follow operator instructions, set-up sheets and standardized work documents.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; ensure guarding, interlocks and safety devices are installed and used.
• Verify that safety systems are operational at shift start and during production.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Understand and follow PPE requirements for the work area.
• Perform visual inspections and use gauges or measuring devices to verify part quality.
• Record accurate production counts, scrap counts, downtime, and operation numbers.
