Job summary

Deco Products Company LLLP in Decorah is seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator to run zinc die cast machines and support assembly and powder coat operations.

You will adjust machine settings, handle hot molten zinc safely, lift parts, and troubleshoot equipment while maintaining a safe, clean work area. Expect to collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and other departments. Mon-Thur 3 PM to 11 PM; Friday 12 PM to 8 PM OR 3 PM to 8 PM; 37 or 40 hour work week.

Deco Products was established in 1960 in downtown Decorah. The name Deco comes from the first 4 letters of DECOrah. Deco Products is the largest stand‑alone dedicated zinc die caster in North America.

Zinc castings are used in many diverse products and our customer base is equally diverse. A few of our primary markets are office furniture, window and door products and components for commercial vehicles and the RV market. A few specific examples are legs for office partitions, office chair brackets, brake valve components for semi‑trucks, sash locks for windows and window operators for motorhomes. We also have products that go into the electrical industry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and an extensive line of broom and mop components.

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting zinc die cast machines that produce parts for assembly and powder coat operations. The position will be responsible for making machine adjustments, handling hot molten zinc safely, lifting and moving production parts, troubleshooting and cleaning machines. The Machine Operator will work with all areas of the company, specifically with supervisors, other department personnel, quality control and engineering.
