DIE CAST ENGINEER

Die Cast Engineer needed for an automotive manufacturing facility located near Knoxville, TN. Starting salary range is $80,000 to $95,000 per year depending on experience, education, and training. These are first-shift positions that offer an excellent benefits package including Health, Life, Dental, Vision and paid time off. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Job Description

Die Cast Engineers are responsible for providing engineering services to assigned manufacturing areas. This position also helps Maintenance with machine troubleshooting; supports manufacturing with quality/productivity & cost improvements; assists with new capital project purchases; develops engineering reports; and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot machine problems.
• NC Programming
• Experienced with CAD to review machine drawings, and electrical drawings.
• Work with Maintenance team to identify and repair machine issues and improve downtime.
• Thorough knowledge of control systems and PLCs.
• Machine programming.
• Continuous improvement.
• Process Engineering change documents.
• P.F.M.E.A.
• TS 16949
• Strong mechanical skills (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps, Motors, Conveyors)
• Strong electrical skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (preferably mechanical or electrical)
