Position Overview

The Center for PA Studies at Albany Medical College is seeking a new member to join their didactic faculty. This is a 1.0 FTE, year round position in the Department/Unit: Center For Physician Assistant. Work shift: Day (United States of America). Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00.

Background The Program

The Albany Medical College PA Program is the third oldest in the state and 11th oldest in the nation, held continuous accreditation since 1972. It serves 42 students per cohort in a 28‑month program starting in January, with 16 months of didactic education followed by 12 months of clinical experience. Students complete required rotations, including orthopedics and comprehensive interprofessional care, with access to a cadaver lab, medical library, and advanced simulation center (PSCCC). The program has 10 full‑time faculty and 2.0 FTE administrative support housed 100% within the department.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver course content.

• Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned.

Qualifications

• Candidate may come from educational backgrounds including PAs, MDs/DOs, PhDs, or others with graduate‑level training relevant to PA education.
• Master's degree required; doctoral degree a plus.
• PA applicants must be licensed or eligible for PA licensure in New York State and have current Certification or Emeritus Certification from NCCPA.
