Job summary

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences is seeking a part-time non-tenure Instructor in the Department of Physician Assistant in Memphis. The role involves organizing and leading classroom instruction, and providing direct teaching to students as needed.

Collaboration with program leadership to develop curriculum, and close work with the Program Director on didactic education are expected. Mentoring PA students and serving as a role model are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Experience teaching in graduate or undergraduate courses, and mentoring students.
• Ability to lead small teams of programmers and data analysts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and leads educational activities related to classroom instruction.
• Provides direct teaching to students on an as needed basis.
• Collaborates with program leadership to develop curriculum.
• Works closely with the Program Director in facets of didactic education.
• Serves as a professional role model and mentor for Physician Assistant Studies students.
