Job summary

Texas A&M University’s Department of Nutrition, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, seeks a full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) faculty member at the Clinical Assistant Professor level to serve as Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). The Director will ensure ACEND accreditation standards are met and will lead program operations.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required or equivalent.
• Registered Dietitian licensure required or eligible.
• Five years of teaching experience at the college level preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Development of policies and procedures for effectively managing all components of the DPD program.
• Supervision of the ACEND Accredited DPD Program.
• Provide dietetic internship and career guidance to current undergraduate and graduate students.
• Recruitment, advisement, evaluation and counseling of students.
• Maintenance of program accreditation, including reporting and records.
• Ongoing curriculum review to meet accreditation standards.
• Coordinate with faculty, preceptors, and others involved with the program.
• Facilitation of continuous assessment of program and student learning outcomes.
• Teach undergraduate courses such as NUTR 304, 307, and 408.

Education

Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Teaching experience at the college level
