Job summary

The Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M University seeks an energetic Director for the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). This 11-month Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) faculty position will begin November 16, 2026, with the possibility of the title Clinical Assistant Professor based on qualifications.

The Director ensures ACEND accreditation standards are met and advises students pursuing dietetics internships.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
• Licensed Dietitian where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the DPD program to meet ACEND accreditation standards.
• Develop and teach undergraduate nutrition courses as assigned.
• Oversee admissions, retention, and completion policies for the DPD.
• Coordinate with faculty, preceptors, and external stakeholders for program quality.
• Maintain accreditation activities and timely reporting and fee submissions.
• Serve in leadership roles and participate in committee work.
