Job Overview

The Diamond Turning Process Engineer will provide technical and administrative support in all aspects of the diamond turning process. The focus will be on process development for diamond turning flycut and multi-axis machining, including documentation, yield improvement, scrap reduction, and corrective actions. The engineer will investigate yield losses and reject causes, communicating findings to operators, supervision, and management. Additional responsibilities include sales support, project management, standards review, opto-mechanical design, quoting, optical testing, and quality control. Regular feedback on facility, scheduling, and production issues is expected to support management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering
• 2-4 years experience in machining preferred
• Knowledge of Labview, C#, and/or Matlab preferred
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, documentation, process improvement, metrology, modeling, and quality control
• Strong mathematical skills in geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and calculus
• Excellent organizational and technical writing skills
• Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment

Compensation

Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr. Actual pay will depend on skills and experience.
