Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Dialysis Tech to provide direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The role includes initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments and monitoring patients during sessions. Schedule: 4am-4pm and 7am-7pm, Monday-Saturday, Days.

The position requires a 1-year certificate or 3–6 months related experience, color vision testing, and CPR/BLS within 90 days. Duties include station setup, machine preparation, charting in EPIC, and maintaining clean, safe

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience.
• Must pass Ishihara color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and collect assessment data, record treatments.
• Set up station and pre-treatment data entry.
• Take down and clean machines after treatment.
• Cannulate patient access and remove needles after treatment.
• Perform dialysis treatments and collect lab specimens.
• Monitor catheter care and heparinization as needed.
• Perform safety checks on water, dialysate, and machine.
• Inventory and order medical supplies.
