Job summary

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Dialysis Technician II to join the Everett Kidney Center on a per diem, variable shift. You will perform hemodialysis tasks under supervision, including setting up machines, connecting patients, monitoring treatment, and safely disconnecting them.

  • Clean and reprocess dialyzer; handle chemicals safely and follow procedures.

Job description

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Dialysis Technician II to join the Everett Kidney Center Shift Per diem, Variable Shift.

Pay range: $24.15- $36.80
Get paid to train. We’ll support your journey to become a Dialysis Technician in 8+ weeks without any previous healthcare experience. From there, you’ll get experience and support toward your career goals.

Purpose

The Dialysis Technician receives direction for the delivery of patient care from the unit registered nurse, supervisor or manager. This position performs hemodialysis tasks, which include: setting-up dialysis machines, coupling patients to dialysis machines, monitoring treatment then disconnecting them after treatment; cleaning and reprocessing dialyzer, work with chemicals involved in the operation of the dialysis equipment being aware of safety procedures; refers identified problems appropriately, performs other tasks as delegated and communicates with patients, their families, staff and other organizations.

Shift

Per Diem, Variable Monday – Saturday (0500-1530, 1515-2345)
Direct-care employees are required to float to other clinics, as needed, to maintain safe patient care.

Required qualifications
  • Proof of High School Diploma (or GED or advanced degree)
  • (1) One year of dialysis experience
  • National Certification through either NNCC or Bonent
Preferred qualifications
  • Education in the science field
  • Prior direct patient care experience
  • Prior phlebotomy experience
