Job summary

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Dialysis Technician II for our Burien Dialysis Center. This full-time position is 0.9 FTE with 4 x 9-hour shifts, Monday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

We offer paid training of 8+ weeks to become a Dialysis Technician, with ongoing support for career goals. The role involves direct patient care under RN supervision, operating dialysis machines, and floating to other clinics as needed to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

  • Proof of High School Diploma (or GED or advanced degree).
  • Education in the science field preferred.
  • Prior direct patient care experience preferred.
  • Prior phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • BLS from American Heart Association preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up dialysis machines and couple patients to the machines.
  • Monitor treatment and disconnect patients after each dialysis session.
  • Clean and reprocess dialyzers; handle dialysis chemicals safely.

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Dialysis Technician II to join our Burien Dialysis Center in a Full-Time .9 FTE, 4 x 9-hour shift, Days Monday-Saturday 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Purpose

The Dialysis Technician receives direction for the delivery of patient care from the unit registered nurse, supervisor or manager. This position performs hemodialysis tasks, which include: setting-up dialysis machines, coupling patients to dialysis machines, monitoring treatment then disconnecting them after treatment; cleaning and reprocessing dialyzer, workwith chemicals involved in the operation of the dialysis equipment being aware of safety procedures; refers identified problems appropriately, performs other tasks as delegated and communicates with patients, their families, staff and other organizations.

Direct-care employees are required to float to other clinics, as needed, to maintain safe patient care.
