Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Dialysis Technician I to support the Dialysis Nursing Team. You will administer dialysis therapy, set up and monitor equipment, and perform venipuncture as needed.

Requires high school diploma, less than 1 year of experience, and BLS certification (or within 30 days). Training and potential preceptorship provided; benefits include PTO accrual from Day 1 and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in dialysis or healthcare preferred.
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications: Obtain CERTDIAL or CCHT within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs prior to initiating patient treatment.
• Performs pre-dialysis, intradialytic, and post-dialysis checks as per protocol.
• Administers local anesthesia when accessing grafts/fistulas and monitors access.
• Rotates through dialysis unit and treats isolation patients as assigned.
• Sets up and verifies equipment and supplies for each dialysis station.
• Starts up/shuts down water system and performs safety checks per procedures.
• Interacts with patients and staff professionally and mentors new staff.
