University Health System in Texas seeks Hemodialysis Technicians to support dialysis care across hospital, clinics, and home settings.

You will perform chronic hemodialysis under the Charge Nurse, prepare machines, monitor vital signs, and collect specimens as ordered.

This role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to protocols, and teamwork within a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card.
• New hires with no prior hemodialysis PCT experience must be enrolled or have completed a hemodialysis technician program and obtain certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide chronic hemodialysis treatments to patients under direct supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Prepare machines: run tests, rinse and prime dialyzer, install tubing, connect delivery system and bath.
• Weigh patient and obtain baseline vital signs.
• Obtain blood samples and other specimens, then initiate dialysis using established access routes.
