Job summary

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Dialysis Technician II to join the Enumclaw Kidney Center in a per diem, variable shift role. The technician delivers patient care under RN direction, sets-up machines, monitors treatment, and disconnects patients after dialysis sessions.

Direct-care staff float to other clinics as needed to maintain safe patient care and ensure smooth operations across centers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED or advanced degree) — required.
• At least 1 year of dialysis experience.
• CCHT certificate from Bonent or NNCC required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Preferred: education in science field.
• Preferred: prior direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up dialysis machines and connect patients to equipment.
• Monitor treatment and disconnect after completion.
• Clean and reprocess dialyzers and handle dialysis chemicals with safety procedures.
• Identify and refer problems appropriately; communicate with patients and families.

Northwest Kidney Centers seeks a Dialysis Technician II to join the Enumclaw Kidney Center in a per diem, variable shift role.

Schedule:

Per Diem, 2 shifts required per month, Variable (2:45pm-11:30pm or 5:00am-3:00pm), Monday - Saturday

Purpose

The Dialysis Technician receives direction for the delivery of patient care from the unit registered nurse, supervisor or manager. This position performs hemodialysis tasks, which include: setting-up dialysis machines, coupling patients to dialysis machines, monitoring treatment then disconnecting them after treatment; cleaning and reprocessing dialyzer, work with chemicals involved in the operation of the dialysis equipment being aware of safety procedures; refers identified problems appropriately, performs other tasks as delegated and communicates with patients, their families, staff and other organizations.

Direct-care employees are required to float to other clinics, as needed, to maintain safe patient care.

Required qualifications

• Proof of High School Diploma (or GED or advanced degree)
• (1) One year of dialysis experience
• CCHT is required from Bonent or NNCC
• American Heart Association BLS

• Education in the science field
• Prior direct patient care experience
