Job summary

Saint Bernards Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician focused on the dialysis unit to support initiation and termination of dialysis treatments. You will assist nursing staff with routine unit functions and provide expert technical support for the dialysis process.

The role requires completion of a dialysis training program, CPR certification, and ability to operate dialysis machinery with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification.
• Completed a state-approved dialysis training program under RN direction; certification within 18 months if not yet certified.
• Ability to operate dialysis machines and manage cannulation, monitoring, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments under supervision.
• Assist nursing staff in unit functions and provide technical dialysis support.
• Work overtime and be available for on-call as required by the hospital.
