Job summary

Alaska Dialysis in Alaska is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care for adult and geriatric ESRD patients. The role uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan and revise care, and involve patients and families in care planning.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and other providers to ensure continuity of care, maintaining professional standards, and delegating tasks appropriately.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: A.D.N. or nursing diploma required.
• Ability to license in the State of Alaska
• Leadership ability and organizational skills.
• Computer software knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and implement government standards.
• Strong belief in quality patient care and maximizing clinical performance measures for each patient.
• Commitment to principals of customer service for patients, staff and physicians

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect nursing care for adult/geriatric ESRD patient population.
• Use nursing process to assess needs, plan care, and revise plan as patient needs change.
• Provide patient and family education and involve in care planning with documentation.
• Maintain communication with physicians and other healthcare providers for continuity of care.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice and delegate tasks appropriately.
