Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications may be needed based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area to meet patient needs.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the life span per department policies.
