Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis Nurse to provide inpatient dialysis care, monitor patients, and coordinate with the care team. The role includes supervising dialysis technicians and ensuring timely dialysis according to physician orders and CMS guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a California RN license, BSN, and 2+ years of dialysis experience, with BLS and ACLS/CNN certifications preferred. This on-site role offers a shift differential and days shift.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license and BSN.
• Current Basic Life Support Card.
• Minimum 2 years dialysis nursing experience.
• CNN certification encouraged.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) for acute inpatients.
• Monitor patients during dialysis and assess emergent changes.
• Communicate with patient, primary RN, and MD.
• Supervise dialysis technicians and delegate appropriately.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to determine clinical status and dialysis priorities.
