Job summary

Satellite Healthcare in California is seeking a Staff Nurse to participate in professional development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and the review and clinical application of research findings. The Staff Nurse will apply Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice to ensure ethical, patient-centered care.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, support patients living with kidney disease, and contribute to improving the patient and staff environment

Qualifications

  • One year of registered nurse experience; dialysis experience required (California/Tennessee 3 months or Texas 6 months).
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent.
  • Current, active, unencumbered state RN licensure and CPR certification.
  • Proficient with electronic health records and independent project organization.

  • As a Staff Nurse you will participate in professional development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and improvement, and applying research findings.
  • You will lead interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care.

As a Staff Nurse you will actively participate in professional role development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and improvement, and the review and clinical application of research findings. The Staff Nurse develops ethically sound practice and confronts ethical challenges through the application of the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and the state Scope of Practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience:
    One (1) year of registered nurse experience. Minimum 3 months (California & Tennessee) or 6 months (Texas) of experience as a Nephrology Nurse with dialysis experience required; a combination of in-center, and/ or acute, hemodialysis required
  • Education:
    Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
  • License/Certification:
    Current, active, unencumbered state RN licensure Current Healthcare Provider certification (CPR) required
  • Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Competent and in-depth knowledge regarding the use of Electronic Health Records Ability to organize, prioritize and complete projects independently
