Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of medical office experience with computer systems.
• Excellent keyboard skills and be familiar with the Windows environment.
• Must have AS (Required).

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with the Manager to ensure monthly/quarterly reporting.
• May oversee departmental orientation/precepting for new non-provider staff and assist with performance appraisals.
• Maintain staffing schedules and provide coverage procedures including temps and per diem.
• Provide support for accurate completion and timely submission of departmental time sheets/payroll.
• Attend monthly meetings and disseminate information to office staff.
• Assist with office supplies within budget and maintain compliance with regulators and third-party payers.
• Perform functions of a medical secretary when necessary and lead in the practice manager’s absence.
• Assist with telephone, appointment scheduling, and filing.
• Maintain petty cash and change funds.
