Responsibilities

• Assist other health care members in providing patient-specific education regarding dialysis parameters and disease processes.
• Welcome assigned patients and monitor their wellbeing during treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and cannulation; administer heparin as delegated.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters; document accurately.
• Ensure safety alarms are enabled and respond to any abnormal readings.
• Document and report changes in patient condition to the RN or supervisor.
• Prepare and organize supplies; maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Support CQI activities and continuous quality improvement efforts.
