Job summary

Satellite Healthcare seeks a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) to provide direct patient care under a Registered Nurse, greet patients, and advocate for them on the treatment floor. You will work within state scope of practice and maintain clear communication with the care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, 6 months of active hemodialysis experience, and CCHT certifications as applicable, with CPR also recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of active hemodialysis patient care experience as a certified hemodialysis technician.
• BONENT (CHT)/NNCC (CCHT)/NNCO (CCNT) and California Department of Public Health CHT certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Greet patients on the treatment floor and support comfort.
• Advocate for patients and communicate pertinent information to the care team.
• Support quality care delivery following Satellite policies.

What You Will Do

As a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following Satellite policies and procedures per their state Scope of Practice, safely and efficiently. They will be the first team member to meet and greet patients on the treatment floor. Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians at Satellite are compelled to make the patients feel comfortable once they enter our centers and throughout the course of their treatment. The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician will advocate for patients while they are at the unit, and effectively communicate with other team members any information pertinent to delivering quality care.

Education

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent

Experience: Six (6) months of active hemodialysis patient care experience as a certified hemodialysis technician

License/Certifications: BONENT (CHT)/NNCC (CCHT)/NNCO (CCNT) certification (per state regulations) California Department of Public Health CHT certification (required only for CA locations) Current CPR certification
