Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Tennessee is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our clinical staff in end-stage renal disease treatment.

The PCT will participate in infection control, record vital signs, and help set up dialysis equipment under RN supervision, with a focus on safe, high-quality patient care. This full-time role offers four 10-hour shifts starting at 6am, Sundays off, paid training, and a benefits package including health coverage, PTO and retirement plans.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
  • DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program with classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training.
  • Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in infection control and patient education activities.
  • Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
  • Role under RN supervision.
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
  • Insert and remove patient access needles.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of concerns.
  • Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
  • Maintain professional relationships and observe patient privacy and rights.
  • Maintain and track inventory.
  • Perform laboratory work.

The Patient Care Technician (PCT)

provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease, supporting clinical staff throughout the dialysis treatment process to deliver prescribed treatments. Our PCTs are an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes for every patient.

Schedule:

Full-time, four 10-hour shifts starting at 6am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts. This position will be a float position in the area, covering multiple locations.

Compensation:

Pay range from $16-$19 per hour, depending on healthcare experience; experience not required
