The role emphasizes adherence to CQI and quality goals, with responsibilities including vital signs, documentation, and reporting changes to the RN.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements.
• Previous patient care experience preferred; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and ensure safety alarms are enabled.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters.
• Monitor patient responses and report changes to the RN.
• Assist in treatment initiation, cessation, and post-care documentation.
• Provide education and support to patients as directed.
