Job summary

MEP Health in California is seeking a Dialysis Patient Care Technician Floater to provide compassionate support to patients with chronic kidney disease across multiple clinics. You will assist with dialysis setup, patient intake, vital signs, and treatment preparations.

Reporting to the RN and collaborating with RNs, nephrologists, and the care team, you will monitor patients during dialysis, maintain infection control, document accurately, and help ensure safe, patient-centered care across

• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to changing needs.
• Report any patient changes to the RN.
• Maintain infection control and safety practices.
• Complete accurate documentation and comply with procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and test dialysis machines; set up treatment stations.
• Perform patient intake, including taking vital signs and completing assessments.
• Assist with cannulation of vascular access and initiate hemodialysis treatments.
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to changing needs.
• Promptly report any patient changes to the RN.
• Maintain strict infection control and safety practices.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and maintain compliance with facility procedures.
• Collaborate with RNs, nephrologists, and the care team in a patient-centered environment.
