Concerto Renal Services is hiring a Dialysis Technician to join our team in Joliet, IL. You will provide hands-on dialysis care under a licensed nurse, operate dialysis machines, monitor patient vitals, and document treatments accurately.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to safety procedures, and collaboration with nurses and other staff to ensure high-quality dialysis services.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision, initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per orders.
• Record pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, vascular access assessments, and report anomalies.
• Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on dialysis machines; administer heparin as permitted.
• Document treatment details and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
• Provide excellent service to patients, families and staff, maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Why is this Role Essential?

Concerto is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join its team! The Dialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. Works under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Concerto’s policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.

What Will You Do?

1. Direct Patient Care
   Provides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders
2. Vital Signs & Monitoring
   Obtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.
3. Dialysis Machine Operation Sets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin aspermitted by state law.
4. Documentation & Lab Work
   Accurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.
5. Customer Service & Environment Delivers excellent service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe workenvironment.
