Job summary

Concerto Renal Services is seeking an On-Call Dialysis Patient Care Technician to support dialysis treatments across assigned regions. You will travel within the region and occasionally outside with additional base pay for travel, handling coverage five days a week (Mon-Fri) plus 2 Saturdays per month.

Overtime may apply based on coverage needs. You will work under a licensed nurse to provide safe dialysis, monitoring and documentation, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs, weights, and access assessments accurately.
• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and perform safety checks.
• Document treatment details and assist with lab specimens.
• Provide courteous, patient-centered service while maintaining a clean environment.

Why is this Role Essential?

Concerto is hiring a On-Call Dialysis Patient Care Technician who will be on call five days a week (Monday - Friday + 2 Saturdays per month), with actual workdays varying based on coverage needs and eligible for overtime. The technician will be assigned to a specific region and must travel within and occasionally outside that region, receiving additional base pay for out-of-region travel and mileage reimbursement for all travel from their home clinic to the work site. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy in compliance with Concerto’s policies and state and federal regulations.

What Will You Do?

1. Direct Patient Care

Provides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.

1. Vital Signs & Monitoring

Obtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.

1. Dialysis Machine Operation

Sets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.

1. Documentation & Lab Work

Accurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.

1. Customer Service & Environment

Delivers excellent service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
