Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Georgia seeks a Patient Care Technician to join the acute care dialysis team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an FMCNA RN, set up and prime dialysis equipment, and ensure accurate documentation of vital signs, treatment parameters, and vascular access status.

The role requires a High School Diploma and a valid PCT certification with 18 months of dialysis experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT national certification or state-specific certification required.
• 1–2 years related healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of the FMCNA RN for assigned patients in the acute setting.
• Set up and prime dialysis equipment as directed by the Fresenius Nurse for renal replacement therapies.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters on the treatment sheet; communicate changes to the RN.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and monitor pressures; report unusual findings to the RN.
• Initiate renal replacement treatment as prescribed; adjust QB/QD per orders; ensure safety alarms are enabled.
