Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Fishers, IN is seeking a dialysis technician to join our team. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the clinic.

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will document treatment parameters, participate in CQI activities, and help educate patients on adequacy measures and post-treatment care; prior patient-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements must be met.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital or related facility preferred.
• Successful completion of the organization dialysis training program and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to intradialytic issues.
• Record vital signs, treatment parameters, and laboratory specimens as required.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and infection control in the treatment area.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-treatment care under supervision.
