Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in New Castle, IN is seeking a patient care technician to support the dialysis team under supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with setup, monitor treatments, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will record vital signs, handle data entry on treatment sheets, and participate in CQI activities to improve patient outcomes. Prior patient care experience preferred; CPR may be required after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification may be required or completed after hire.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters during dialysis.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vitals and document on the treatment sheet.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with infection control practices.
• Record treatment data accurately and participate in CQI activities.
• Report significant changes in patient condition to the nurse or supervisor.
