Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP program. The RN provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned caseload during hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and PCTs is essential to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The role supports education for patients and families, participates in team decisions and quality improvement, and advances through CAP

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• CPR BLS certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs and PCTs.
• Administer medications per protocol and document effectiveness.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and team decisions.
• Supervise/lead Patient Care Technicians, LVNs/LPNs and RNs as assigned.
