Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our dialysis care team. You will provide direct patient care, perform dialysis procedures, and educate patients and families about treatment goals and safety standards.

One year of medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred, with dialysis and ICU exposure a plus. CPR certification and completion of the Nursing Technical Training Program are required; strong communication skills are essential for

Qualifications

• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• ICU experience preferred but not required.
• Successfully complete CPR Certification.
• Must complete the Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire or soon thereafter.
• Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing or as required.
• Employees must meet the necessary requirements of Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and dialysis procedures as prescribed.
• Perform and monitor dialysis treatments; document parameters.
• Maintain a clean, safe dialysis environment and report issues.
• Report significant information or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Educate patient and family about end-stage renal disease and treatment.
• Assist with emergency operational procedures and coordination with care team.
