Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Dayton facility is seeking an LPN with dialysis experience to join the hemodialysis care team. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver safe dialysis treatments to assigned patients.

The role emphasizes adherence to FMCNA policies, documentation in EMS and ACES, equipment setup, vital signs monitoring, and participation in process improvements to support patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Six months of hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis.
• Successful completion of CPR Certification.
• Ishihara Color Blindness test required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse for assigned patient(s) in the acute setting and perform dialysis procedures as prescribed.
• Set up and prime equipment for renal replacement therapies as directed by the Hemodialysis RN.
• Document data accurately in EMS and ACES and report significant changes to the Hemodialysis RN.
• Evaluate vascular access, monitor vitals, and respond to intradialytic issues as prescribed.
• Initiate renal replacement treatment, including QB and QD, and ensure safety alarms are active.
