Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
• Current State licensure as LPN or LVN.
• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• CPR Certification required or to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patient(s).
• Perform all dialysis procedures as prescribed and monitor treatments.
• Monitor and document dialysis parameters on flow sheets.
• Report significant changes or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Educate patient and family regarding ESRD, dialysis, diet and medications.
• Initiate basic CPR and respond to dialysis-related emergencies.
