Job summary

CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG in Dubuque, IA, is seeking an Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dialysis program. The RN CAP 2 pathway provides clinical advancement opportunities for qualified candidates in a busy inpatient setting.

You will assess and plan patient care, coordinate with the healthcare team, supervise patient care technicians, and respond to emergent situations as part of a multidisciplinary kidney care team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in applicable state.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience in the last 2 years preferred.
• Entry level RN can qualify via CAP 2 pathway with demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Document patient data and treatment responses.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Supervise/coordinate care with PCTs, LVNs/LPNs as assigned.
• Demonstrate leadership and participate in quality improvement activities.
